Excursion to Vulcano Island

Once we reach the island's port, we will follow the paved road that leads inland, where the trail begins that takes us to the top of the “La Fossa” crater. You immediately realize that you are in a place that is unique in the world, walking on volcanic dust, among broom bushes, with a view that stretches across all the islands of the archipelago.

At the top, the environment resembles a “lunar landscape,” with dust and gravel.

Along the circumference of the crater, there are yellow sulfur gas emissions, a clear sign of the presence of sulfur. At the end of the trek, we will reach a restaurant on the island where we will have lunch.

After lunch, you will board the boat again to circumnavigate the island, sailing until you reach and admire the Grotta del Cavallo and the Piscina di Venere, before returning to Lipari along its sea stacks.

The Community Day will be held on 15 April, information will be available close to the event.
